to me, being 21, in london, waking up so early to get to work...in those dizzy mornings, walking to Earl's Court tube st. with my youth eyes so enchanted at life. i woke up today from a dream were a was walking with friends, on similar streets, with this song accompanying us.

I've always loved this song. It's so gorgeous and the lead singer has an amazing voice. They deserved more commercial success than they had, but nevertheless to be able to have produced such a wonderful song at all is very impressive! I never get tired of hearing it, even years after it was released. It's a pity there isn't more such memorable and lasting music produced nowadays, and instead a lot of it is by crappy "artists" like P Diddy (or whatever his latest name is!), etc.

P.S. to my comment below! Would anyone in their right minds actually remember in years to come any songs by "musicians" such as P Diddy, Lily Allen (what a car crash she is and deluded as to her "talent"!), Miley Cyrus, Girls Aloud, and all those other talentless acts whose egos are bigger than their abilities as musicians?! They should all take a leaf out of the book of talented musicians and actually put out good music that people will actually love and want to hear in years to come.

Actually, I've just been listening to an 80s compilation CD and another great band from the 80s were Climie Fisher, whose music I really liked back then and it still sounds great 20+ years later, because they were/are great songwriters, the vocals are lovely and the music is melodic and beautiful, like Danny Wilson's music!

Thats the problem with today's musicians leicestergirl63. Too many people who think they are 'singers' and no more songwriters. Technology has just about doomed good song writing.
This has always been one my favorite songs, just perfectly created even down to the video. It will never get old and not too many songs are like that now a day.

I remember when I was a kid they played this song on the radio all the time, then one day it was gone and i didn't hear ir for years, which was kinda sad. Then one day some years later they started playing it all over again! Great song!
