Football with the MLS is getting better here in US (as Beckham says its not as shit as foreigners think)...but i dont even know if there are any Rugby leagues here, dont think so which is a shame as its a pretty good sport also.
I know the Football World Cup is the biggest sports event in the World, but Rugby is big in itself and also has a World Cup unlike nfl gridiron which is only played here in US.

pele was a good football player and he did have stamina and all but thats besides the point. Any athlete will push himself to the limit for what he wants to achieve. That does not happen in football. However in rugby, you push yourself to the limit not to let ur team mates down, the adrenaline u get helps go above ur limits, thats why rugby is such a brilliant sport!!!

not really. The rules of both sports we nowadays know devoloped out of the same sport, commonly known as soccer. But this old school soccer has not much to do with nowadays soccer. P.e.: It was allowed to hackle in soccer, that meens that you could hit the opponent.

I play Rugby and Football because I love playing them both.
However, in terms of respect and discipline, rugby is the only winner. Football is just full of cheating nancy boys who seem to want the opponent to see that they've been hurt.
In rugby it's the opposite, if you're hurt you don't lie on the floor wriggling like a child, you get up and show everyone that you didn't get fuckin' hurt! No matter how bad the pain.
