A combination of the genius of Mr's Gershowitz & Konigsberg, two native sons of New York. Thanks to staying up late when I was 5 back in 83 and watching this on the Late Show, this is what I visualize when I hear Rhapsody In Blue. BEST USE OF THIS GERSHWIN CLASSIC EVER!!!!

Oh you could be lonely in NY al right. I'm here my whole life, and nothing beats walking over the Brooklyn Bridge FULL of people and cars below, and you are all alone. just you and the endless crowd streaming through. just you and the skyscrapers that you can almost touch. utterly alone, and happy about it.

Good for you. I'll check out the scene and watch for you. This movie saved my ass back in 1978. I saw it 16 times in the theatre in Tulsa Oklahoma when I was 16. It gave me a view of a world I didn't know existed and wanted to live in. Now I do. How fun to have been in it!

Thanks for the backup, but the true story is that I just happened to be walking by while they were filming and did not even realize which movie it was until I saw it in theater almost a year later. The reason it is cool for me is because I love that film so much and I can see msyelf for about two seconds every time I watch it, although it was more obvious on the big screen than at home. And, yes, I do occasionally go W00t! like a 13-year old.. :P
