I first heard this classic as done by Huddie Ledbetter aka LeadBelly, then later covered by the late Kurt Cobain. It's probably older than the both of them, however, so I won't spend too much time on its pedigree.
I'm taking my own crack at it, and I apologize in advance if it came out a little bit more slack-jawed yokel than the Cobain or Ledbetter versions.
I'm basing it off of the Cobain lyric arrangement since I like the flow of it.
