The way Walsh built this organization was so unique. They were always a different team than the rest of the league. The style of the 49ers can never be duplicated. How Walsh was able to convey his way onto the players was remarkable. I always noticed each players' extension of one another. The team blocking always stood out- from Craig's run to Young's run to Taylor's two long catch-and-runs; it holds true.
My old man was a long-time 49er fan who'd seen many disappointments over the years, and I had an extra ticket to this game. "No, just go and have fun" he said...
Our seats were lousy, down low in the endzone, but for The Catch they were the best in the house! A big Thank You to Eric Wright for "The Save" also, crazy.
We all ran out onto the field afterwards, where I tried to snatch the Niner hat off The Tubes' Fee Waybill...
What a party we had that night. W-O-W.
1)The horse-collar tackle on Pearson sould have been called. 15 yard personal foul.
2)Danny White's fumble could have been called a forwward pass aka "Tuck Rule".
If either of these were called, the outcome might have been different...hmmm
