No, they weren't sisters! Della's sister was in the group though. Some report that her name is Marie Waters, but I've also seen where someone reported Della's sister's name as Dellilian Price. In either case, Della's sister is the light-skinned lady who you may see in a few of the videos on YouTube.

In her autobio Angels Along the Way, Della never mentioned any of her sisters ever singing with her in a group. She didn't have a biological sister named DeLillian either. It's very likely that Della felt a sisterhood with Earnestine, Marie and DeLillian because of their lifelong friendship.
