Bill Belichick was nothing more than Art Modell's whipping boy when he was in Cleveland. Belichick had no control over that team whatsoever. Getting rid of Kosar? that was Modell.

I think you're right, col64onel, that it was the PD's Tony Grossi. Grossi and Evil Bill loathed each other during Creepicheck's disasterous tenure in Cleveland. Thus, Evil Bill's rather contemptuous smirk when "answering" the question. I hated Evil Bill when he was coach of the Browns, and still hate him! The 2nd biggest villain in the story of the Browns leaving Cleveland next to Modell! He created a poisonous atmosphere around the team that alienated the fans and local media.
