Both teachers and the mainstream media tell you what they know (or what they want you to know). It is up to the individual to sort through this and make their opinions. To say he is just repeating what he was taught could be defended by saying that your view on the matter is also simply what you've been taught (regardless of if it was taught by a professor or bill oreilly). The reality is I'd rather listen to a professor than a talking head on tv.

If you listened, he wasn't talking about George Bush bringing down the Twin Towers (like the 9/11 "Truthers" believe) but what he was actually talking about was how the regime in Afghanistan and the fighters of Al-Quaida were trained by the U.S. - which they were. Not to bring down the Towers (as many people here seem to misinterpret) but to fight the Soviets in the 80s. They trained them. It's historty. And so the U.S. did - INDIRECTLY - have a part to play in laying the foundation for 9/11.
