Jeremy Brett is very much missed, even after all these years since his death. Of all the pictures and actors of Sherlock Holmes, there will never be another person who portrays Holmes than Jeremy. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to a great actor/hero!

Jeremy Brett was Sherlock Holmes. David Burke and Edward Hardwicke were magnificent as Dr Watson. Burke a more lighted interpretation and Hardwicke somewhat darker portrayal. But Jeremy Brett's portrayal was pure G.E.N.I.U.S. This was GRANADA's greatest achievement!!

A look forward every day to watching Jeremy Brett do his magic. Because it is magic. His acting can not be described differently. As a wrighter plays with words and musician with tones, so does Jeremy play with acting. He is much missed.

Indeed, Brett is Holmes. For me, Livanov doesn't really look like Holmes and I appreciate the fact that the Granada series with Jeremy Brett stay as true as possible to the book.

I've just watched the Russian Holmes again. I recommend you all to watch it! Livanov and Solomin have done a great job. I think if Conan Doyle was alive, he'd prefer them to Brett and the old man playing Watson!!! How come Watson was not a bad boxer, a very good sportsman!? Solomin is the Watson from the book.
