I also think he didn't rap as well as any black rapper truly, but it shows a real culture or society's phenomenon in Taiwan. It's a quite important element of a good rap, isn't?

i know it might look weird to the western eye, but asians, being a collective culture, place a lot of value on being useful to the society and be successful, and parents are absolute authorities and they can just make decisions for their children without a whim. u cant make judgements on whether the collectivism is good or bad since japan rose up as another economic power with their strict discipline and strong collectivistic ethics.
