TKD is no joke in the right hands. I have seen ITF and WTF tae kwon Do and im a 2nd degree black belt in TKD and trained in both.
ITF is definatly hardcore and keep the hands up, and WTF spar with their hands down.
Now as for Mauy Thai, its just as good as TKD. It depends on the fighter! That is it... The two styles are definatly equal, except Mauy Thai dosent have the tools TKD does. But I would never dare say TKD is better nor Mauy Thai is better. I say mixing both is better.
