It's a shame that Finzi suffered from the musical establishment of the 1950s - the idiots who preferred Stockhausen. Finzi was a wonderful composer who should never be forgotten as long as we can hear music

Probably just because I know this piece so well, but I did notice a fair few mistakes! It may just be to do with the recording, but there were some points where there were some noticable errors.
Not to say that I love this piece so much, having played it for twelve days straight on tour (in the second violins). And I'm still not sick of it!
And I love the bit from 3:48 - 4:02! I just adore this piece!

It's just a poor recording.Not the solo or orchestra's fault.What a romantic piece!.It is truly a shame that not enough people know Finzi.What a talent!
