I too was once scared of a god being angry at me when I left being Christian for Atheism as such a young age. I am now Buddhist with no beliefs in any mysticism and I say this: if your god is something you should fear, rid the fear with meditation and Buddhism, and show that you-yourself must find your own path to Enlightenment to free yourself from suffering.

buddhism is not a religion, many doesnt knows it. Buddha was hindu bron royal prince, later he got enlightenment, and he redefined hinduism. Buddhism teaches us to realize ourself. Thats all.

Well... Mahayana Buddhism, the newer more popular category dominating in China, Japan, Korea, etc. is starting to turn Buddhism into one. I chose to follow Theravada Buddhism with some Zen ideals and Tibetan/Mahayana chanting & ideals for respect, culture, and tradition. I don't believe in mantras but I do still chant for these reasons.

Unless u belive in it, u cant achive. That is why science can never reach to GOD. Both are totally oppisite. Science needs proof first to believe, whereas GOD needs believe first then you have a proof. As about Mantra, its not simple words rather then SECRETE COMBINCATION OF SYLLABLES, which vibrates and resonate with cosmic powers when done in right way, and by which u can invoke your Chakra, and enligten yourself. But you cant get Mantra on net, the one u get is not complete. You need a Master

It's a prayer wheel. Inside the wheel is a piece of paper where a prayer or mantra is written over and over again. Buddhists believe that spinning the wheel has the same effect as saying the prayer or mantra over and over.

For one it is said you may pick your own mantra. For two who said anything about believe? They say to put beliefs aside - it is the facts that matter, and my sect of Buddhism doesn't use or believe any form of mysticism or something such as a mantra. I choose to do so for respect to other Buddhism as well as myself. You should speak with your master more on these matters instead of telling people what is right and wrong with pretty bad spelling.

And as about, chanting matra without a belief, what you chanting for, to show whom, to impress ur rest of your master and sect. What you gonna do Mr Bhegeta, when you dont have trust in your master. Better be yourself, so next time dont chant. Its better to tell them and let others know that you dont believe instead of being herd of sheeps. Wake up. Like this you cant go anywhere, you'll be stuck in between middle of nowhere. You either stop all these fake Buddhism thing. Be rationalist.

Wrong and wrong. I'm in the original tradition Buddhism, before you made your sub-sects. You are in a sub, not I - we have no mysticism like you Buddhists made up. And the chanting is not to impress, I do it on my own time, for discipline on myself making myself do something every day, and to practice honor and virtue towards others. Why are you angry? A Buddhist is a Buddhist when you follow The Dharma Seals - respect all other Buddhists and do not let anything harm you mentally =)

See brother, I know this debate would go on and on and on anywhere. I'm really happy learning that you follow ORIGINAL BUDDHIST. And for myself, as you said "YOU BHUDDIST", I dont want to be called hindu,bhuddist, or any religion.
