I've not heard much of the fall if I'm totaly honest
but, and this is my opinion only, I do think Mark E. Smith is a bit of a cockey twat.
Although, I think a lot of people as far into their musical career as him probably are.
I've noticed it in Paul Weller, which has disappointed me because he is one of my biggest hero's

it's funny when she says "you seem pretty nice to me" entirely unconvincingly. the fall/mark are great, and have made so many amazing albums (still do) but the one time i met him i quickly realized it was better walking away (that was the weekend when he fired his band). i remember him barking orders at my friend who worked the door at the club, ordering him to carry his bags. anyway, lots of pricks make genius art.

hmm i've loved the fall more than any other band for over 20 years now. Funnily enough i still like the bunnymen as well. However it doesn't mean that I adore everything he does or says. eg the recent "autobiography" was crap. Most fall gigs over the last few years have been very average. Some albums fantastic...some not so. The fact that if anyone professes a liking for The fall "they are plagiarists". Mind you I got a photo with MES 12 yrs back after a gig and he was very friendly & polite.
