Wrestlemania 24 Most Viewed Pyro Accident On The News. WrestleMania XXIV March 30, 2008 Orlando, Florida Citrus Bowl with an Attendance of 74,635. WWE Wrestling main event was Edge vs. The Undertaker. 45 WWE Fans were hurt from this pyro accident. 3 WWE fans were taken to the hospital. Fireworks At The Grand finale Went astray And The Fireworks Guide Cable broke sending the fireworks into the stands were the WWE fans were sitting.
This is being ruled as a freak accident. Wrestling fans who were watching Wrestlemania 24 pay-per-view from home didn't see what happened. WWE broadcasted a blackout during the Pyrotechnic accident. It was the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Florida, and the second WrestleMania to be held entirely outdoors, the other being WrestleMania IX. Wrestlemania 24 The Biggest WrestleMania Under the Sun. was held at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Attendance was 74,635 screaming WWE fans. The official theme songs were "Light It Up" by Rev Theory and "Snow Hey Oh" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. For the second year in a row, WrestleMania broke the record for the highest-grossing pay-per-view in WWE history as well as for the Citrus Bowl, grossing in $5.85 million in ticket sales. Wrestlers from from RAW, SmackDown, and ECW made up the wrestlers at the event. The main event match on the SmackDown brand was Edge versus The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, which Undertaker won by f
orcing Edge to submit with the Gogoplata. The primary match on the ECW brand was Chavo Guerrero versus Kane for the ECW Championship, which Kane won by pinfall after executing a chokeslam. Main matches on the undercard included Floyd Mayweather, Jr. versus The Big Show in a No Disqualification match, an interpromotional Money in the Bank ladder match, and Ric Flair versus Shawn Michaels.
