And it was even for social purposes. But it was never on such official way. If astronaut's relations seemed going wrong way, sometimes they were ordered to fix some block of station. You can guess what was waiting for them there))) During every docking, guest should give a present. But ammounts were small, very small. Don't get it confused, there was NEVER one like armageddon movie shows! Their life depends on their own, so they can't allow themselves being drunk.
