Yeah Skold is pretty much a bad ass. Shotgun Messiah, solo, KMFDM, and now Manson. Not bad at all.
Harry Cody was nothing short of amazing.
Zinny is ridiculous though, but the vocals fit the music.
No there aren't any modern guitarists like this. Although Herman Li is VERY good, but I haven't heard him do anything really tasty though. I love Cody's guitar work, on all the albums, even Violent New Breed which was more NIN/Industrial ish... it was still good.

I remember the first time I ever saw this video and thinking "What the heck is the point of their "lead singer" 0_o Though you're right, his voice fit with their sound.
Tim and Harry made this group. They're both phenomenal musicians.

its funny to admit, but this band was actually very ahead of their time. this was 89 and the whole rap-metal thing didnt break until years later

"I'm The Man" came out in '87. The demo for "Shout It Out" was recorded in the summer of '86. Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" isn't technically rapping, and the Run-DMC version came in '86.
This was influenced more by Beastie Boys than anything else, and has to be considered pretty innovative, as the Beasties were rap with some guitars, and this was hard rock with some rap.

there's a GREAT instrumental on this album called "explorer". it's so so so melodic, you'd never know it was these same guys doing it.
ya, i though for sure this band was going to be HUGE, but they were right there when metal was going out of style and too early to hit that period in the late 90s when it got hip again.

Im 13 and I've loved these guys for a while and I got this Kerrang magazine and it has an interview with them as Kingpin and they were saying how awesome they were. I cant believe I didnt recgonize them!!

Tim Skold is the reason this band flopped. Zinny WAS the singer in this band. When Skold decided to fire him and take over lead vocals, that was the end for this band...

no they dropped the glam thing and got more street tough zinny didnt want that he coulnt do second coming it just wasnt their skolds voice was more rough and raw and he's a better lyricist then san and they didnt flop people are still buying their albums and their on youtube nirvana desroyed all the good bands this album came out what 89 90 but skold is a better front man than zinny
