You know, it's funny that 18-1 is supposed to be some sort of derogatory chant. Last time I checked, no team has won 18 games in a season in the history of football. Y'all Pats haters are so bitter that it's kinda sad. So they lost to a team running a high school gadget offense and their QB made his 2nd career start. Pats aren't going anywhere.

Last time I checked, it doesnt matter what you do in a season if you DON'T win the superbowl. Look at buffalo, they went to the superbowl 4 times in a row...to bad nobody cares about that team cause they didnt win any of them.

^^Classic example of hate. I was a Pats fan back in the days when Don Beebe and Andre Reed were torching the Pats secondary and dominating the AFC East and I had a lot of respect for that team because they were such an offensive juggernaut. I remember how nasty Jim Kelly was. These are the things I think of in addition to their 4 SB losses, and you're fooling yourself if you think that no one will remember how nasty Brady and Moss were when they think of the '07 pats.

jrkelley, Actually, three teams(including the Pats) have finished a season 18-1. The 84' 49ers and the 85' Bears did it also. You know what the difference is though? THEY WON THE SUPER BOWL. What the Pats did last year, was far from special. Yes they won 18 games(third team in history to do that), but the Lombardi Trophy is in New York, not New England. The 2007 Pats will not go down as one of the best teams ever, heck they were not even the best team of 07'. Perfection still belongs to Miami.

I was born in 1984, forgive me for not remembering stuff that happened before I was born. The record books also disagree with you, as the '07 Pats offense pretty much has its own chapter in said books. Also, no team has gone 16-0 in a season ever, nor has any team won 21 straight regular season games-some chicago team in the 1920s came the closest by winning 17 games in a row. The '07 Pats were the definition of excellence. The '07 dolphins lost 15 games. THATS a team no one will care about.

You are right, no other team has gone 16-0. That is a great accomplishment. However, the season doesn't end after the regular season. The 18-1 Bears and 49ers are by far a better team than the 07' Patriots. Yes they went 15-1 in the regular season, but they won when it REALLY mattered. If they created a show today listing the top 10 NFL teams of all time, the 07' Pats would not be on it. The 84' 49ers, the 85' Bears and the 72' Dolphins would be. The 07's Pats were good, just not great.

I got a Waterboy vibe from the game. Take away letting the opposing team know what plays you're running and they can't stop you. Personally I've always felt the Pats were talented but overrated and not punished near enough for getting caught cheating. Rather than wish ill for the rest of their season I'd rather see the Dolphins finally start to play well.

They lost the most important game of the season, who's to say the 72'phins couldn't have won more if the season had gone more than 16 games that's the point. Calm down it's not hating the pats, we were favored to lose and destroyed them ending their regular season streak when winning only 1 game last season. its ironic that an 18-1 team got embarrassed and looked foolish playing a team running a high school "gadget" offense...and you shouldn't mention QBs because Matt Cassel is a fucking joke.
