He is definitely NOT a virtuoso at his instrument; on the other hand, he is not a bad drummer either.
But I would agree with the guy below who proposes that Buddy Rich would destroy him in a drum battle! But then again, I could think of a long list of drummers that would destroy Lars!

Lars is a total dickface who is disgustingly over-rated because he's been with Shitallica for 20 fucking years. Wanna see a goddamn impressive drum solo? Watch ANY OTHER METAL DRUMMER! Go watch the Rude Awakening version of She Wolf. Now THAT is a drum solo. And I'm not saying Metallica sucks, I'm sayings Lars Ulfag sucks. I could do half this shit, and I don't play drums

lars is the most overrated drummer in the history of mankind. He's so sloppy on double bass he spends 2 days recording each song to get it right. Whats worse is he thinks he's gods gift to music, when I know drummers in their 20's that are 10 times better than him.

Man who cares if he isnt the best drummer anywhere? He gets the job done and makes it sound good. There would have been no Metallica had there been no Lars. So what if he isnt Neal Peartor Buddy Rich? He's good enough for what he does.... on top of that he traditionalized the sound of metal drums everywhere. And I do agree... he is overrated, but he is th one with millions of dollars and one of the greatest heavy metal acts in the world, so people are bound to be looked up to in that situation.
