I agree with you s9m. SCA looks very funny when you compare it to middle european fights. I laughed so much when i saw armors and how they fight... but I'd like to fight vs them in bohurt xD It would be hell for them xD

NOnsense! There are kids as young as 6 fighting boffer in the SCA. ANYONE can "TRAIN" at a practice. Unless there is noone who is authorized to fight youth. Is that the problem?

Yes.
I live in a very small town, the 'training' takes place at a university. There aren't any youth going there, and nobody there is authorized to fight youth.

This is not LARP... lard is for World of Warcraft fans and dice throwers.. it containbs stupid fantast crap like wizards and majic, orcs and goblins. Made up crap.. this is enactment of real life time periods and tactics. Fantasy crap isn't allowd and frowned upon. None of this is rehursed, it's you and the other guys coming at you with weapons.. it takes time and practive to be good at this.. It's a sport, and a hard one at that. it involves hard work, and Pain.

Does LARP have pirates? With CANNONS? Does it have hot women scantily clad and jugglers and more alcohol than you can shake a mug at? Can you go with 2000 other people and wander around at night, sampling food, wine, and different cultures?
I wish this vid showed what happens at night :) I grew up in the SCA, and the drumming and belly dancing is awesome, the never-ending amounts of mead, beer, and other random drinks is wonderful, and, well, pirates. Yeah. SCA has pirates.

lol I DOING LIVINGHISTORY a was on lot of festivals a I was on lot of historical castles and I slept on this places I ve got lot of costumes and its look better they are handmade by handmade textil material they are excelent replicas I ve got lot of wepons ,swords ,sabres,rapiers,pistols and musket so who must sit down?

Why are you so negative. I've done both LARP and the SCA and let me tell you, the people who participate put a lot more work into their efforts than the LARPers.
AS for heavy vs. fencing, no comparison. Both take calculation, skill and practice. But alas, arguing with you is like trying to convince GW that the muslim world aren't all jihadists.

No, minors under the age of 18 aren't allowed to participate in martial armoured combat until they have become 18. However, some kingdoms allow 17yos to participate and train in list tourneys if and only if two conditions are met. First, the child not yet of the age of majority must have a waiver of liability signed by his/her parent AND that parent must be in attendance at all list fights.
