All of the meat was carefully cared for and eaten. It's the law. Like wolves, mankind has always hunted and for the same reasons, because it's in our nature and to eat.

I'm training for my private pilot license in the Netherlands. Right now I have contact with a flight school in Anchorage to train for my complete license. The nature in Alaska is so beautiful.. it makes my chin drop to the floor time and time again. I would love to do the things you do.

Awesome video, live in Alaska myself, really captures the beauty of everything here. I just got done reading a book titled "Alaskan, Yukon Trophies Won and Lost," this video reminded me a lot of the book. Overall, how was the weather, i know it can change in a second but did it treat you ok?

Overall the weather was very good. It snowed in August a couple of times, at least, but melted quickly. Towards the end it was nice and cool, just right for keeping meat which was important to me. It wasn't a very wet fall which made keeping the meat much easier.
I did a hike/paddle across the Brooks Range in 2006 and some have said that was the wettest summer in record in that region. THAT was a challenge at times! Luckily at the end I had beautiful fall weather which was much appreciated.

It's hard to tally the total cost because I paid for the food and gear over a long period of time while preparing. The largest single out-of-pocket expense was flying out.

Your brave to hunt by yourself. My dad always told me to never hunt alone, so I don't, but I give you props. Is this the Brooks Range? I can't wait until this fall, I still have to get my first moose, I'm hoping to take a week long trip to the Denali Highway.

That second bull had some really cool palmation. Looks like a great trip.
I went to the Kavik River hunting caribou last year. Flew into Prudhoe Bay and then Alaska Air Taxi dropped me at the Kavik River and I followed that for about 10 days. I was with a buddy and what a great experience. We saw all kinds of animals in our time there including walking right into a few bears. We didn't have the King Salmon fishing like you though, just some char and of course lots of caribou. Great Video.
