USC played at home two years in a row. Illinois flew/drove 8 hours, including drive time and getting to hotel. If USC travelled to Illinois to play, the score would have been 35 to 28 Illinois.

I have been to LA. Lots of hateful people. yeah, sure, 76 degrees every day---but what does that matter? I love the 4 seasons, and I do not judge people by the temperature around them but the warmth of their hearts: SCali is th eorth pol! Illinois wasn't ready for the Rose Bowl yet, but they put up one hell of a fight. Zook did an amazing job of transforming Illinois from a team down 56-3 at halftime on homecoming to national championship contender Penn State in 2005 to a team that knocked off national championship contender Ohio State 28-21 in 2007. I predict one or two losses in 2008. The Big Ten opener against Penn State they'll lose and possibly the Wisconsin game. Then they'll return to get revenge in the Rose Bowl and win.
