February 13, 2007. With two passes and a screwed up shift at the top of the corkscrew. The next lap was a much cleaner 1:42.35, but the video camera shut off.

| The car is a 1972 911 with a 247-hp 3.6 liter motor from a 1993 911 in it. It weighs 2500 pounds without the driver, and has a handful of suspension mods. I was on Toyo RA1s, 255/275. |

| Thanks. It's not bad. But I think I could get below 1:40 with a little more time on that track. Aside from the particular mistake I make going into the corkscrew in that lap, I wasn't doing 2 right, or 6, or 9. |

| Oh, sorry, I see your last comment. A Porche, really? Those things usually bounce up and down until your teeth fall out. Otherwise, you die when you lose control because you hit the breaks too hard when you are going in a straight line. |

| Thanks. They say that if you can drive an early-seventies 911 well, then any other production car is a piece of cake. As an instructor, I've driven a lot of different types of cars. To me, there are more similarities than differences. They're all fun. |
