It is a cute show, but no where near as good as the original! And people who have seen the old show go back because of the nostalgia value. The original is still the best. If they want to fix something, fix that DREADFUL Honey I Shrunk the Audience show!

Ugh. Iago and Zazu, I love them, but they ruin the whole song. And Jose doesn't seem to say "Oh, look at all the people!" anymore... I loved that.
:( They ruined it, personally, I think. Poor Tiki Tiki Tiki Room. I'm glad I got the original song on my iPod :D

I kinda like the new tiki goddess, but the rest--bleah. The original '60s show is dated, but at least it's got a bit of polish. This "update" is boorish and trashy.
Glad they kept the original at Disneyland.

No more Jose leading the flock, No "In the Tiki tiki tiki room" no "When the Flowers Sing".. NONE OF IT IS IN THE WDW SHOW. What the Disney Imagineers were trying to do was Noble, BUT they missed the mark by a million miles...

When I was growing up...I went to Disneyworld 30+ times and Disneyland in California, Once... so I have a large heart full of magical memories at Walt Disney World in Orlando and of all those memories I cherish those of The Enchanted Tiki Room with Jose and company leading the show the most..

Compromise maybe, alternate the shows...it CAN be done...they used to have three Country Bear shows a long time ago...same showplace...just a different mix of content would appear... sadly the fountain might have to be altered or sacrificed to allow Lago and Zazu to remain hidden in ceiling for old showing and out for new showing.

I like this show better, it is more entertaining, and it is not as long as the oroginal one.
And Walt Disney always said to renew stuff, to make them entertaining, as for me I like it.

I'm sure some people might like this, but compared to the original I think it's horrible - No focus, lots of yelling, awful music! Does Disney think every kid has ADD or somthing? And the little comments tying into Dinsey movies are cheap shots. If I had seen this show as a child I'm sure I wouldn't have fond memories like I do of the original. I doubt I would remember it at all. This new one seems...disposible... probably not the right word. I feel bad for kids today.

Yeah, the Update at DL was making the show all shiny & new but keeping the heart of the old show intact (they deleted the Offenbach song but by doing so they shortened the show and in this case it works by keeping the show a tad shorter!)they now have a HIT at DL! They really should either have alternating shows (not really that hard with some work) or delete the New Management all together. PERSONALLY, I think alternating shows (sign change and schedule outside to reflect showtimes) Best Answer

Was it an improvement over the original? You've got to be kidding! "Under New Management" is the theme park equivalent of dressing Michelangelo's David in a tunic made of dog **** and thinking you're clever. "Under New Management" is so bad that it makes us wish they had torn out Florida's Tiki Room completely. "Under New Management" is the single worst thing that's happened to Walt Disney World in 38 years. No, it wasn't an improvement.

Oh my God, this is terrible! I'm so glad that my family and I only go to Disney California where the original is.
I am so sick of Disneyland changing its rides and image to suit the new Disney movies! They're ruining it! Pirates of the Carribean is now all about Jack Sparrow, the Alien Encounter is about Lilo and Stitch... now I find this!
Keep to the classics, for god's sake! It's a universal law- nothing beats an original!
