Press Play On Tape - Comic Bakery Larger Than Pop Remix

"We had always wanted to do "Comic Bakery" but were never able to find out just how to play it. Then one day someone in the band said something along the lines: "Hey, wouldn't it be fun to do a Boy Band song, just to surprise everybody?", and that was about it.
A first go of the song was created, in which all voices were done by the most annoying General Midi sounds available. That was done absolutely on purpose, as it made the different voices VERY easy to notice and to learn. ("That Ugly Saxophone has been burned into my brain" - quote Martin)
Next up was the actual recordings. Søren and synth player André sang the main parts of the song, and then guitar player Martin did a baritone track and synth player Theo did both a bass and a falsetto track. The lyrics were written by Søren who then set to the task of mixing the final version.
One word about the mixing: Auto tuner!!! Auto tuner is the effect that makes Cher and Eiffel 65 sound as they do (a lot of people confuse that with a Vocoder, but that is a different effect altogether), but used properly, it is in fact an effect that makes bad singers sound decent, and decent singers sound good. It was used in the final mix. a LOT!!! Also, to get the right Boy bandish sound, the vocals were compressed, chorused and equalized in a degree that you would not believe!!!"
