Well must of you don't. That's really something that has been apparent during this elections as Americans call anything concerned with redistribution of wealth socialism or even communism. In Europe where socialism actually exists almost all politicians in the Democratic Party would be considered RIGHT wing... But still some of them are dubbed as socialists. I even heard those loans to poor people that your banks have made being called socialism... That's just nonsense.

There is a difference between what American media shows and what the average American knows/understands. The media really does distort what's going on. Just like how the media made it seem like the election was going to be really close when it turned out that Obama came out well ahead. Now the media is starting to realize that its a different American than what they have been portraying. We are not all right wing conservative Christians. In fact, I'd venture to say that most of us are not.
