you probably do not know so much about this and just read what you see on wikipedia, but there are tons of asian people in russia(such as myself, but im in canada now) usually they are from central asia, countries that were formerly in the soviet union(along with mongolia which was officially never part of it, but almost unofficially)
otherwise they are from china or are korean descendants from mongolia/koreans from north korea and then just small minorities

In Russia, you're Russian if you're an ethnic Russian (русский). If you're from a different ethnicity and a citizen of Russia, you're a citizen of Russia (россиянин). It's a lot like the English-British division, if you wish. Besides, that is not even remotely the case, since the poster was referring to the singer's ethnicity and genetic heritage. I wonder how you call ethnic Russians, that 80% majority. European-Russians? Slavic-Russians? Do you deny their existence?

I lived there before and I know more about russia than you, they dont care so much about ethnicity there you're russian if you're a citizen, of course they still acknowledge what ethnicity you are out of curiosity or whatever
and it's Pоссия for russia... not what you put, I dont even know why you would put that in parentheses, btw those stats are different now and during ussr only 50% of ussr was "russian"(european)

That is quite untrue. Over 50% of Russians would prefer not to have Asian (native North\South Caucasian, Central Asian, Chinese) neighbours, and over 70% would prefer their relatives not to marry any of these.
So your definition for ethnic Russian is any European living in Russia? What of Ukrainians, Belarusians, Finno-Ugrics, and Balts?
"Россиянин" is Russian for "citizen of Russia", not for Russia itself. Please read more attentively.

If ethnic minorities should lie about their ethnicity, of course we don't have any way of forcing them to tell the truth. If there are only 70% of Russians in Russia and the rest are no longer contained within the confines of their national republics, it just means that the situation is growing even more grave, repeating the pattern seen in other colonial empires.
