There more democracy in the EU than any other international organization.

Well, how many states had allowed their people to vote on it? One! Just one out of 27! All other states had parliamentary votes. And the EU treaty is exactly the same like the failed constituion and now they are playing word games and not calling it constition but treaty. The peoples of Europe dont want deeper political integration. They wanna have their sovereignty! Every time when the people are allowed to vote they say NO! Other countires just wanna join because they want money! My taxes!

Referendums are not the only acceptable form of "democracy." It is acceptable in Western Democratic practice for a parliament to vote on an treaty and then signed by a head of state.
The Lisbon Treaty (Articles 4 + 5) respect local and national governance and national identities. Those that believe that the Treaty takes away their sovereignty have not read the Treaty. The Treaty also expands the role of national parliaments...GO READ IT!

Ridiculous! You dont get, do you? This treaty will practically create a State Europe. And every true Democrat would FIRST seek the consent of the people. You cant force a new legal order and a new nationality on the people. Its a question about legitimacy. And the treaty would have taken more power from the people to unelected EU-bureaucrats.
