Which is why they followed up by asking him and he had one of the best moments in the whole thing, holding up the constitution and making a media speech. There's only one gutsy candidate, to use the anchor's words in this race. If Americans can't tell the real thing when they see it, then the country probably doesn't deserve that kind of president.

Correction. Two "gutsy" (aka, honest) candidates.
You forgot our man Gravel.

why do people keep saying Kucinich is a senator? jesus, i cant even take you seriously if you cant get a simple fact like that right. she also needs a paper to look at or a prompter.
I thought Gravel ... ( 1 year ago by breaks0)
I thought Gravel was kind of over the top style-wise, which is why I don't take him very seriously (I generally don't care about style, so I can't believe I'm saying that). Example: Gravel: "Who are gonna nuke next, Barrack?" Obama: "I'm not planning to nuke anyone, Mike." Gravel: "Good. Then, we're safe for now." BUT, his message is right, I'll give you that. If he'll flesh out his program on his website a bit more (as Kucinich has), then I'll reconsider.

I hear what you're saying. I had the same impression when I watched that debate. Candid but over the top. However, I've been watching a lot of the other videos of him on here, read his stuff, and listened to two or three radio interviews he's done and now know he is not usually so over the top. He also favors impeachment if necessary to end the war, but his focus is on the later and he is laying out his plan to do so in a press conference this Monday, May the 14th.
He seems to be ... ( 1 year ago by HatTricksInc)
He seems to be quite the tactician (just wait until you here his plan.) Around 20 years ago, near the end of the Vietnam War, he used the fillibuster to help end the Draft, and also released the Pentagon Papers which showed how the Government mislead the American People into the Iraq War.
The Congress is not in a position where they are going to do any impeaching right now, but if the democrats take up the tactics Gravel has laid out and Bush still doesn't budge, they will.

You thought the Democratic debate was interesting? Jesus H. Christ! Aside from Gravel's moments of unfiltered realism, the rest of it was as exciting as watching grass grow. And your analysis was almost entirely off the mark as well. Nothing personal, but youre wrong on pretty much everything. :)
Altogether a rather ... ( 1 year ago by RichardBrodie)
Altogether a rather refreshing commentary, even if I do come from an opposite direction than you on most issues. And who said equal rights for women was not a divisive issue? The feminist movement is one of the first big thrusts toward the deconstruction of nationism (and America in particular) and the eventually establishment of one world government by the corporate and banking elites. I'd like to elaborate but I'm about out of characters.
Make Congress Hear ... ( 1 year ago by webwalker13)
Make Congress Hear You! America, do not give your vote away. Make Presidential Candidates earn your vote. How? 1) Republicans/Democrats need competition for our votes; dissolve the 2 party control & consider third party candidates. 2) Notify, Presidential Candidates their promises & words will not win votes. Make them win your vote, by standing "Today," before Nancy Pelosi, Congress & the Senate to demand the will of the people be heard. Impeach Bush now. Start removing troops thereafter.

Kinda sucks that the first thing she says is showing her true self. How can she discriminate against a black guy for pres, for his age? I thought that was age discrimination? WAKE UP! OBAMA for PRES!

It doesnt matter if your a life long Democrat. Look up Ron Paul. He crosses all party lines. We've never had a chance to elect a leader like him in over 100 years. He would be like getting the chance to elect a world peace leader like Ghandi. In our lifetime I hope we can someday have such a leader in the Whitehouse. Ron Paul can restore that hope!

Im voting for Mike Gravel. Ron Paul doesnt introduce legislation to end the Iraq war and doesnt believe in a seperation of church and state (read War on Religion by Ron Paul). I wouldnt vote for Hilary or Obama as they are unwilling to filibuster the War Spending bill. Gravel filibustered by himself for 5 months to end the draft, Gravels on the peoples side therefore i'm on his side.

You really don't know what your talking about do you?
A Dennis Kucinich has never been a Senator. He is the former mayor of Cleveland and a current Congressman.
Also, Joe Biden was in no way forgettable!
He is without a doubt the most straight-forward candidate in the race.
He has the only political solution for Iraq and he has the most experience of the top tier candidates combined!
He is anything but forgettable!
