no LL did dis Mc ... ( 1 month ago by melojr92)
no LL did dis Mc shan in "the breakthrough" look it up on youtube and youll hear it. He is definately dissin shan i'll quote a line.
"cant get a descnt contract your beats aint worlin, dawged out pumas plus your managers jerkin, your voice sounds weak remember that schezer. Im badder than napolean hitler or caesar."
LL beat MC shan on that one
This is the overall ... ( 1 month ago by n0gar)
This is the overall hottest diss cut ever! Not only did he take out 3 rappers in one cut, their careers were over after this and it gave LL respect again. When you see his story on VH1, they took out the Mo Dee part, but that is why people did not like him. This cut and Jingling btought him back. Ice-T is am man is is almost ready for social security. No one was afraid of that old man.

Ice T and Moe Dee is doing very well now without the rap game. Plus Ice T and Moe Dee still have their hardcore fans.
The part where LL ... ( 1 month ago by mrpower328)
The part where LL says "your mic sounds we remember that schezer" he was talking to Salt and Pepper, refering to their song called "My Mic Sounds Nice". They had dissed LL in 1 of their songs. The Puma part was about Shan

Ice-T was doing ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
Ice-T was doing well, until he came out with that corny-ass "straight-to-Youtube" dis video, gettin' at Soulja Boy.
That Ice-T warning ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
That Ice-T warning call was from the song, "Ricochet".
- Nigga's wanna know about me and the "L", though
- We squashed that shit with me and him about a year ago
- But there's a new rule startin' tonight
- Dis me on a record, see me - FIGHT!
As youn can see, Ice-T didn't say nothin' about shootin' nobody; he's a business man! His beef with L was squashed; they did it in person. He put out the "don't dis me on wax, or else" warning after that, which was aimed at all mc's; not at L.L.
Why are cats ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
Why are cats debatin' who L.L. dissed on "The Breakthrough", under this song?:-)
Nice theory, but ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
Nice theory, but I'm not so sure about that; everybody was wearin' Puma's back then. I think he was just talking in general terms. Plus, since Shan came at L.L., by name, if L. wanted to get back at'em, he would have done the same; goin' at Shan, by name! It wasn't like he wa afraid of Shan; Shan just wasn't worth it.
As much as I like ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
As much as I like Cool J., even with all his victorious battles, the one aspect of rap, that I have yet to see L.L. show, is freestylin'. I ain't never heard / seen L.L. go off tha top of tha dome! Anytime he was on Rap city, I don't think I ever saw him serve in "tha booth". And I ain't talkin' about rappin' a la accappela; I'm talkin' straight off tha dome! Some clowns be thinkin' that just because somebody is rappin' without a beat behind'em, then he's freestylin'; SURVEY SAYS - FALSE!!!
Only thing being, ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
Only thing being, considering that neither Salt & Peppa, nor L.L. have EVER acknowledged this "shoving match", despite their extensive careers, I can't bite on this theory, just yet. But, I will say that it does deserve to be looked into.
He picked those 3 ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
He picked those 3 because:
- Kool Moe Dee: If you don't know by now, you'll never know.
- Hammer: Hammer said he was "second to none" from Doug E. Fresh, to L.L., to D.J. Run, on "Let's Get It Started". This was enough for L. to add him to the list.
- Ice-T: When Ice started puttin' out records, he threw jabs at L. He felt no m.c.'s from the West Coast were really challenging L., like cats were doin' out East. After Ice put out "Power", dissin' L. twice, L.L. tossed this grenade back!
Spit knowledge? ... ( 1 month ago by fateonelives)
Spit knowledge? Ever heard the song "heal yourself" Song about uplifting our society above the lies..and he gets on it and talks about female masterbation..he was afraid to be positive in the era that brought classics like "Self Destruction" because he was worried about his image and sales. He shoulda hung his mic up after bigger and deffer.
well LL said "dont ... ( 1 month ago by melojr92)
well LL said "dont you know your just a worker and your boss is my man" i think he was refering to Marley Marl as his boss and shan as the worker. And saying "knuckle heads spreadin gossip all over town everytime i walk by ur just standing around." which could be possible because LL and Shan are both from Queens
you are wrong about ... ( 1 month ago by VIGALANTEE)
you are wrong about that,he wrote mc lyte verse on self destruction, defjam to the motherland ll stayed in his lane, because walking with a panther preceeded the bling and drink era. he's a true legend that is timeless!! exit 13!!

Convincing "clues", ... ( 1 month ago by Legendcjr37)
Convincing "clues", but LL has NEVER acknowledged a battle with Shan. I was into Word Up!, Rock & Soul, Right On, etc, never have I seen evidence that "The Breakthrough" was a dis record. Plus, Marley Marl didn't hook up with L. until "Mama Said Knock You Out". Back then, cats went straight at each other on record; you didn't have to guess, or come up with theories. Ive' either gotta see some type of documented evidence, or hear it straight from Uncle L. But, I'm open to the theory.
