one thing i really loved about julia, she did not think anything impossible. she was in the service, could not cook worth a darn and met paul..he showed her the world the get to paris and she not only learns to cook she grabs a partner or two and writes a book to teach all america "how to" greatest humor as well..... :-}

I recently bought these Veggie Burgers and found some cardboard in the patty! I don't eat a lot of pre-packaged stuff but that was it. No more. Julia showed us how to cook simply and from scratch. It is food anyone can make at home and food you can trust (all things considered). My bad. I miss Julia too.

I don't know why but I always loved how she put her hand behind her back whenever she tasted anything. Don't why she did it--probably just a habit--but it always makes me smile. Julia was such a rare treasure.

Yes, there was no secret about her having worked for the OSS. She was hardly a spy, but she did work as a research assistant and file clerk during World War II. She'd often talked about her experience with the OSS. It's just that in August 2008, the personnel files were released, confirming what she'd already said.
