| The great Jimmy Rushing, "Mr. Five by Five". This was a special all-star Basie band with Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins, Gerry Mulligan, Earl Warren, Roy Eldridge, Joe Newman, Papa Jo Jones and several other legendary players. Disappointing not to hear the entire tune. |

| Love this-it's from a CBS TV show called "The Sound of Jazz"-you can get the whole thing on video-well worth it. By the way, this is the Count's orchestra not Dukes. Thats the Count himself playing piano... |

| yes of course that's Count's band.. It is Ben . but he did play with Basie years Before that. Also are Dickie Wells, Benny Morton and Vic Dickenson tb.Doc Cheat?m Tpt I think Al Aarons Tpt as well.I just wish the full video could be offered.I think some folks should do a little more research before they post info.Thanks for the great "Jazzzzz"! |
