Communication lines broken, isolating Lewiston and Johnstown where a repetition of the horrible disaster of 1889 becomes a terrifying possibility to 66,000 residents. Scenes of horror multiply as swirling water crushes all barriers, leaving untold thousands homeless or unable to resume their jobs."

| From :36-:38,did you see where it was at in the Armstrong tunnels!!!This meant that Carson street was completely under water.I couldnt believe when I seen this.My grandmother has the original copy of the Pittsburgh Press that has these photos.I always look at this when I go to see her. |
