Real magnets arn't powerfull enough to lift a person. you need electro-magnets. There are types that repell all metal. Search "Hover Shoes". You could just follow that plan but put them on a skateboard deck.

that's where my idea for a flying car proves it point! make all the roads an electro magnet and then put another electro magnet under the car, then put one of those huge big fans (like a hover craft) and then use it to propell it

Nah, that video was made as a joke. The way he did just completely doesn't work. Not to mention that when he was pretending to be hovering, his feet were dangling and its meant to be the shoes that propel him upward! Haha, its a cool video though, they got some funny comments.

is a great attempt at advertising if your design wasn't 100 years in the future. we simply do not have the power storage required to make a skateboard sized hoverboard. i wonder what would happen if we got all the fakes together brainstorming and actually come up with a viable prototype...
