This song was supposed to "re-brand" Olivia from the cutesy, poetry-pure innocent image which she was her music persona, to a full blown sexually active woman. It was the same transformation in the movie "Grease" -- from pure to corrupt, from innocent to adulterous, from flowery to physical. Did it work? To me, it all seemed so staged, so contrived, so falso. But she sold many records.

He passed from liver cancer a few years ago, but he was a good deal older than that. He was married in 1937 and his wife was born in 1914. A Welsh born English national who emigrated to Australia in 1954, when Livvy was 5 years old.

ONJ is so full of sunshine-- she is the personification of joy. I love that we never really heard of her succumbing to drugs or any attention getting schemes. I know that no performing artist wants to be "respectable" but she is respectable. She perspires sensuality, strength and vulnerability without being needy.
