Remember, this is before the game came out -- a lot of people did not know what the Red Zone meant, because it wasn't widely used until Buddy Ryan and Bill Parcells made it famous. You're thinking in terms of 2008 and not 1989, when this was first being rolled out. Madden could only be IMITATED back then. It wasn't until about 1999 or so that you could ridicule him like Caliendo.

To all the LA fans that want football, I think you'll get a team again the question is when. And I hope Ed Roski is your team's owner. I think he'll keep the team there where it belongs. And I think that the relocated LA team should be in the NFC because of big markets and because Fox Sports is headquartered in Los Angeles.

I miss NFL TV intros like this, w/ the play-by-play man simply delivering a prologue over highlights, to help build the drama. Now, he either have Faith Hill singing some corny Joan Jett rip-off song, Hank Williams' Jr.'s tired "Rowdy Friends" act, computerized robots, or being beaten to death by the "Posthumus Zone".
