C'mon, lets not pretend. You're gonna say people are treating him like the second coming of Christ because he used the word "change"? Farakhan called him "the messiah", Oprah called him "the one", and 99.999% of black voters support him all because he says he wants to "help the economy"? I don't think Obama fooled anyone. The people who voted for Obama were going to vote for him no matter what anyone told them. They just didn't care about Wright, Ayers, his phoney birth certificate, or the fact he's a marxist. Blacks voted for him because he's black. White libs voted for him because here was their one chance to prove to the world, and themselves, how enlighted and non-racist they are by voting for a black candidate. I would say that he "fooled" people into thinking that those sorts of things are completely normal and irrelevent (Wright, Ayers, Marxism, ACORN, etc) But I totally agree that it ultimately was his skin color and the exact reasons you stated that allowed both black and white people to willingly be "fooled".
