You are correctly advocating a nationalistic/democratic government in Iran, but in other hand saying Shah was needed in Iran???? For your info, in 1953, Shah and his CIA masters killed a nationalistic/democratic government in Iran. He was a dictator whom betrayed his people and country then, as Mullahs betraying their people and country now. There are no differences between them, but appearances. How dare you call Shah a nationalist, while in his entire adult life, he betrayed his country and even at the end, his own loyal civilian and military followers? What modernization? Iran was a 3rd world country when British Installed Reza Gholdor in power, Iran was a 3rd world country when Shah put his tell between his legs and run away in 1979, and Iran is a 3rd world country now. How dare you say modernization while at the end of 50 years of criminal dynasty of Pahlavi, 98% of 48000 Iranian villages have had no electricity, no proper roads, schools, hospitals or any other necessary services? Look S. Korea's developments in 50 years.
Do you know how much the Shah modernized? the problem is that he didnt have enough time, not even 40 years... read his plan of modernization of the villages.
Most of Iran was a nomad village like country before the Shah.
For your info, Pahlavi's criminal dynasty took 50 years and not 30. After end of Korean War in 1953, S. Korea was an extra ordinary poor and undeveloped country with a corrupt government, but in less than 50 years become an economical and industrial power house. What Iran achieved during 50 years of Pahlavis that were comparable to S. Korea's achievements? Absolutely nothing. In only things that Iran achievements exceeded S. Korea's, were more torture, executions & corruptions.

You ShahParastan can't help it, you people enjoy fooling yourself and self-deception is your specialty. 1st, your numbers are absolutely false, in 1979 Iran was not 9th richest nation and regardless of Iran's enormous oil income, Iran was 34th. 2nd, I have nothing to say but laugh at your claim of Iran would be now 3rd richest nation, behind of US and UK. Dummy, UK is not second richest nation, is fifth, China, Japan and Germany are ahead of UK.
LOL, just saying something without factual basis is a fraud, and unfortunately your claim of 20 times exaggerations of Shah's negatives is a fraud too. Just reference your facts that which item I said about Shah Khaen was exaggerations. For your info, in addition to communists and liberals, Shah tortured many others. Your logic about torture is laughable, torture is torture, in-human, illegal and barbaric, no matter used against whom and Shah was a barbarian, as Mullahs are.
Furthermore, why you have not mentioned about embezzlement of $20 billion by Shah Khaen, why you mentioned anything about his criminal participation in 1953 CIA's coup in Iran, why you did not mentioned about corruption of his family, why you did not mentioned about terrible state of Iran's infrastructure, healthcare, education, when Shah Khaen left the country? Being 91st in the world in healthcare performance is nothing to be proud of.
Furthermore, everybody with a bit of intelligence and brain in head would understand that GNP of nations has nothing to do with state of their developments. Saudi Arabia with a higher GNP and higher oil revenue than Iran, still considered as a third world country. Why you Shah Lovers don't want to read a little and educate yourselves before commenting and making yourselves subject of laughs? Even a jerk like Shah admitted 3rd world status of Iran, and now you dummy saying otherwise?
