Actually I think it's a great song for a big band. I'm sure the band got some cash for playing it, but it's still one of my fav pop numbers the Spirit does. The Spirit of Troy was never about precision anyway, it's about BIG SOUND and owning the crowd!

USC may have a excellent music program, but that doesn't mean any of that goodness makes it to the band. I've actually heard it's the opposite, that music majors avoid joining the trojan band. If there were more music majors in the trojan band I expect they would be using tuners at least.

It was a cheesy show. So what?
They played the song perfectly. They are widely regaurded as one of the best college marching bands in the country. I fail to see the problem.
