Original version was from Leonard Cohen but the most famous version probably is Jeff Buckley´s.

I think everyone has heard Buckley's version. While I do like it, it is a bit torturously contrived. Jason's version is far more pure and vulnerable sounding, I think the way the song was meant to be sang. Have a nice day.
