Have you ever used a torch, and heated steel to bend it? I have. Steel becomes very soft and pliable when heated to a point where it's starting to glow. With all of the heat applied to the framework underneath multiple stories weighing thousands of tons, it's not hard to understand why the towers collapsed. I'm willing to bet you are mechanically inept. You may be "educated," but you don't know anything about the strength of materials, especially steel that has been heated by intense fire.

mightypen2007 You are a mechanical ignoramus. You don't need to melt steel to weaken it, just heat it to a low red glow, and it becomes very elastic. I know; I've done it. Of course, you probably have a degree in liberal arts (translated: too dumb to take challenging courses that require a brain), so that qualifies you to have an expert opinion. You work with architects, as a paper pusher. Do you realize that when the upper floors started downward, that it was as a series of hammer blows, due to interia. Example: place a nail point onto a piece of wood. Now just lay the head of a hmmer on the head of the nail. Nothing happens. Now swing the hammer down onto the nail. The nail sinks. We call this "inertia." Now imagine the upper stories as the hammer, and the floors below as the nail. Nothing could have stopped the collapse.

First, learn to compare relevant items, your torch is a blue flame/controlled burn not the "dirty burns" of regular office fires.

Third, your so-called experiments don't explain anything about the catastrophic failure of ALL UNDAMAGED supports in core & perimeter columns BELOW the impact zone with 100% capacity, in 10 secs.

Fourth, have you made models replicating the events to the letter (not even NIST has done that), showing how all supporting structures failed and collapsed through path of MOST resistance in 10 secs?
Fifth, I don't have to make wild assumptions (like your irrelevant torch experiments). I leave that to actual materials experts & structural engineers which have already countered NIST's flawed report.

I won't debate wether or not it is an inside job.
All I would like you to notice is that when you swing your hammer down to the nail, it sinks straight only if you hit the center; if not, it will twist. My understanding is that a plane smashing in a tower is not enough to make the tower collapse that straight and at that speed.
I don't know what is the truth, but I am sure what the officials said is not accurate.
Please consider that I'm just talking about What and How, not Who.
