I hate to rain on CrApple's parade...but Windows Movie Maker (which comes FREE with windows XP and Vista) beats any software Crapple has ever tried top mimic for movies and media creation.

Plenty of games for Mac, e.g. Spore, Call of Duty 4, X-plane, Age of Empires, etc. OK there is more for PC, but then Mac can easily boot into Windows thanks to Bootcamp.

How fast Linux runs depends on the distro, a lightweight distro using XFCE can run really quick, on the other hand a fully loaded distro like Ubuntu can be as demanding on hardware as Vista.

I switched to Windows XP in early 2002 and have never bee happier about my decision. It's easier to use, never ever crashes, and is exteremely fast and responsive. I was so happy with XP that I did not want to switch to anything else, but buying a new HP laptop meant having to switch to Windows Vista which is comparable (but I still think XP is tough to beat).
Use anti-virus software? I have never ever run virus protection on my Windows PC...that is for stupid people who download crapware.

i find it really funny all of those people that say Mac is for retards or that if a PC screws up then the user is retard, because Window is a bastardized form of the first Mac OS. Steve Jobs allowed Gates and few of his associates to come in a view their new OS (dumb move). they stole it, moved the bar to the bottom and called it Windows. which was a good thing, because if that hadn't happened then OS X wouldn't we as great as it is today. and i'm glad Mac isn't as popular as Windows.

Are you people still spreading these myths? Jobs (and CrApple) is the thief...he stole windows from Xerox in the early 80's and got mad when Microsoft did the same and started screaming about it and filing lawsuits. In the end, Microsft came up with a real product because they hired a couple of real engineers and that is why they always have 95%+ of the market.
In response to all the lawsuits filed by Apple, the judge said to crApple "The trash can is all yours". Case closed.
