In London, John Denver plays the Pete Seeger classic "Bells of Rhymny" on his 12 string guitar. It cuts into a version from 1973 from Denver's BBC TV series. Then there's an edit from the "John Denver Sings" album introducing the next clip, also from his 1973 BBC tv series, it's a song called Blues My Naughty done with banjo!

I found this video some months ago and feel compelled to listen to it every few days. It may be because I live in the part of the world that relates to this song, mainly mining communities and my dad was a miner. It may be that when my son plays a JD song, the whole family join in. It may be that this stirring song shows JD's abilities. It may be that this song comes from when the world was a simpler, happier place. I suspect that it is all these things that makes it special for me.

I pretty much love all his song's. Except( and i know that this is a crime against Denver Fans) Annie's song. My grade 7 music teacher last year made me sing it over and over in a really hihg pitched voice. And the recording we were singing along to wasn't even the original. It was a bad cover.
