That's in the 18 mile flat stretch around Boiling Springs. I think there as many road crossings as there are miles. It would be difficult for me to tell you what the name of that road is.

Thank you! What a lovely seven minute journey;-) Bravo for stomping on that terra! Watching it for me, now, 4+ years after my own thruhike, was cathartic. It was my journey in reverse, which was trippy.

You've inspired me man...I'm gonna start hiking to get prepared with a few friends next summer. About how much is this gonna cost to hike the entire thing? We are really going to make the commitment each one of us are outdoor junkies! We arent made of money so hopefully we can afford to keep ourselves fed for 5 months =/.

After purchasing gear, I wouldn't hit the trail with less than 3k. 5k would be more comfortable and allow some room in case of injury, and the occasional hotel.
