Microsoft makes computers for your average person who likes playing games.
Apple has the Ipod/Ishit/Itv/Ipod nano/Ipod Mini/Ipod Video/Ipod phone (jokeing about how utterly similar the ipod touch and iphone are)

To those of you that are saying that Vista is not a rip off should do your research. MAC OSX's older version have had all the features showin in this video. Widgets, spotlight,ect. Alot of these features are old to apple users but microsoft throws them in there new system and every one thinks they are new features. Apple is much more innovative than microsoft. Microsoft is a bigger company so they just sit back and collect checks and don't have to drop money into new technology to sell products

LOL. Since when does Microsoft make computers for average people? The closest thing they have to a computer is the Surface which CERTAINLY is not for an average user.
I personally do not take "offense" to what you said but I will say that you seem to be very uninformed and are making statements based on stereotypes. How can you say that about the Mac when on a Mac you can do everything you can on a PC INCLUDING running Windows 100% natively?

No, Microsoft does a very good job of doing that all by themselves! There are COUNTLESS examples and Apple or their fans have NOTHING to do with it. Mac fans or "fanatics" just like to point it out in case anyone missed it because it is just SO funny and easy to do.

Nope. Apple was started way before Microsoft, and Apple invented the GUI (which Microsoft later stole). When Apple made the Macintosh, Bill Gates actually worked for them.

Apple did not invent the GUI. The GUI was created by a tech team at Xerox (yes Xerox). Apple merely purchased the patent from Xerox (who at the time was clueless about what they truly had). This is no different than when Microsoft purchased DOS (then known as QDOS). For the record though, I show my friends this comparison all of the time. They ask why I bought a Mac, and my answer is always this video.

That's true, but the GUI Xerox had made was much different than Macintosh's GUI, and the Macintosh improved on it a lot. Microsoft basically took Apple's idea of windows being on top of each other like sheets of paper on a desktop, marketed it better, and took the credit for themselves with no payment or recognition for Apple.

Actually Apple did not really do too much. What they introduced on their Mac PC's, was closer to being like a distribution of a kernel, rather than actually innovating the concept. It's like trying to say that Debian is more innovative than Linux. It just fails to be an apt juxtaposition. If you look at photos of a WIMP (the original name for a GUI) and a photo of the Apple IIe OS, you will see very little aesthetic or functional difference.

Sorry but you are actually just as wrong as derektherock42. The GUI (and mouse) was created / invented by a Douglas Engelbart.
Besides not even being finished, what Xerox had was not the OS we know it to be today. What they had was a means to make documents for their new laser printers. What derektherock42 said is correct. They added MUCH of what made it a PC OS. I will give you the list to your follow up reply since you seem to think they did not "do too much".
