The Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League have signed Running Back Ricky Williams from the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. This acquisition has caused mixed reactions, but none the less, Ricky is officially an Argo. I was at the pre-season game and taped his first play in the CFL. The CFL is a much diff. game. Wider field, 12 men to a side, the rouge, the single point, man in motion to the line of scrimmage preceeding the play and 1-yd. "zone" bet. offense and defense at line of scrimmage. The differences are subtle but big enough to cause some problems in terms of adaptation. The players who play well in both leagues such as Warren Moon, Mervyn Fernandez and Doug Flutie (to name but a few) are deserving of our respect.

i never argued that the nfl is better. u cant say that shit, cuz canadians do the same thing. and i could care less for soccer or real football, cuz my sport right now is american football. i was only defending michael vick. regardless of what he did outside of the sport, he was amazing to watch.

It's not a copycat. Before you go on a tangent, you ought to read up on it. Besides, you do realize it's guys like you that all us foreign folks laugh at/ joke about, as what one would call a 'stereotypical american tourist'. One, the CFL is OLDER than the NFL, but almost 30 years. Two, Our league has a bigger field, bigger balls (Both literally, and figuratively), and much, much bigger plays. I personally like both, and I suggest you try actually watching a CFL game. You may like it.
