What an idiotic comment. I am not disagreeing with what you say about Gates' business smarts. But to say what you do about Steve Jobs when in 2007 he was ranked #56 on Forbes list of the top 400 richest Americans with a net worth of 5.7 BILLION you are just making yourself foolish.
The statement they are making in this video has ZERO to do with business sense. It is about creativity and innovation... or lack there of in their product. Jobs and Apple have it all OVER Gates and MS there.

When they started in the same era, its sad where Apple is. Apple has always cried. Reminds of the lil brother whining "He's touching me". Its pathetic, really why arent they talking about all the exciting things apple is doing? Oh yeah because theyre only worth 10% of the copycats. Microsoft had Vista in the works for 4 years before Apple released OSX. Im sure they went out and just purchased a copy and junked what they had. Surely Jobs didnt try giving company information away again. MORON.

LOL! "Sad where Apple is"? According to Fortune 500 Apple is #121 out of their list of 1000 with 19+ m in revenue. MS is #49 on that list with 44+ in revenue. So no, they are NOT worth 10% it is more like close to half. Yea, right that is real "sad". Shall I go on? They are also #6 on Fortune's fastest growing companies list.
Yes they started in the same era and Apple certainly has made some mistakes along the way but what is the point? What you are saying about them again is FAR from fact.

As far as when Vista was "in the works". Better check your facts again there bud because you are wrong again. Work on Vista (Longhorn) began in May of 2001. The first version of OSX was released when? MARCH of 2001 (public beta in Sept of 2000) Coincidence? I doubt it!

These lists you are quoting to back yourself up. Look theres a big difference between 56 and 1st on the forbes 400 list. And 49 is a long way for from #121. That is sad, if two companies start in the same era and in the same field. If the minds running the company are fairly equivalent then they should be about even. Apple is nowhere near Microsoft. Even if they are worth NEARLY half thats sad. Apple supposedly has SUPERIOR equipment and OS. Then they still cant run MS.

Even if they are worth half of Microsoft, thats still not close. These lists and values are in the spectrum of BILLIONS. 1 Billion is nowhere close to 2 Billion. As far as the 5 years I was going on the video and official release dates. No matter how you slice it, Apples business model is obviously critically flawed or they would easily hold a larger piece of the pie, especially considering the company that spanked them in the 90's just copied them and has inferior equipment. First of all I am not comparing them. You were when you said "10%" which is FAR from correct. Even with the release dates on the video what you said was still incorrect. To get into business models was not to the point of which I replied. You spoke of Jobs being a "complete moron" as far as a business man goes. Facts are his company is doing DAMN well. He is one of the most successful BUSINESS MEN in the computer, music, animation (Pixar) and now Phone industries. That aint' bad!

Again you are directly comparing MS to Apple. The facts I quoted are to the points you are making about them being "sad" as a company. Where they sit is FAR from sad. You cannot simply compare the one company with the other just because they started at roughly the same time. Again, Apple made some BIG mistakes and it has taken a long time to recover. Think about what you are saying though. MS owns about 95% of the market but only makes twice the revenue? That is a better business model?

Apple is stripping off market share and is the market leader for premium PCs. They got me. I'm a longtime windows guy but have been converted and am not going back. First, I bought an iPod Video(I was late to the game), then came an iPod Touch this spring. I was hooked and now I've had an iMac for two months and there's no way in hell I'll ever go back to a windows based machine.

This just shows your ignorance for the history of MS and Apple. All those previous iterations of Windows copied earlier versions of the Mac OS. Since the early 90s you can look at every major windows innovation and find something almost identical that was put on a Mac 2-3 years earlier. Go back to Windows 3.0 and check out the comparable Mac OS from 2 years earlier.

I am not so sure that is what they want you to believe. I think they just want to point out how funny and frankly how pathetic it is for a company with MS's resources to take THAT long to develop an OS. Then after 5 YEARS when it is FINALLY finished it has glaring similarities to OSX and brings VERY little innovation. Beyond that it was TOTALLY flawed and filled with bugs on it's release. What the hell were they doing for 5 years I think is what they are asking.
