it was the car, not him, the COT blows and it proves that point basically every week, with the occasional good race, Gordon has lost it, Jr. has lost it, Tony has lost it, Burton has lost it, these cars aren't the rocket ships they used to be thus the drivers aren't even comfortable with them

Yea, I believe Jeff Gordon not having won this year, proves that point. Also Kenseth, Stewart or Johnson seem to be not too comfortable with these new cars. I hope that after 2008 or 2009 NASCAR will make some adjustments to these cars, so they get closer to the old one with more downforce for example, but without loosing its safety. I think this should be the goal for this and the next season, because what it is now, can't be what it is supposed to be.

more front downforce would help, the splitter doesn't seem to help, might hurt actually, but it almost seems like NASCARs perfect plan, is that any given sunday a Chevy, Dodge, Yoda, n Ford will come outa turn 4 all in contention for the win, but it would half to be a pure IROC series then, and its not far from it, probably part of the reason the IROC series couldnt get a sponsor anyways, because NASCAR is very close to the same style now

Burton wasn't always in the right stuff at Roush, and do you know how many wins Burton has? he has been good over the span of his career, everyone has slumps, everyone..JR. would have made the chase if he hadn't of had like 7 or 9 engine failures...Gordon needed a new young crew chief, and it worked...with the old car, not in the COT now that the field has caught up, and much like Gibbs seems to be just Kyle, it seems JR. is the one from Hendrick that has the top piece, while the others suffer

burton has something around 20 wins...a lotttttttt of rain shortened ones too, ok, and they were all but like 3 i think, BEFORE 2004. Burton, has NEVER gotten a championship, and has had 2 of his best seasons all time this year and last year, with the COT involved, so he has Lost NOTHING, if anything got better. Gordons has struggled the past couple of years, and you cant blame the crew cheif, he won MANY races with robbie loomis. and gibbs like i said, only has one good car each year....BYE!

dave blaney almost flipped a few weeks ago at michigan, the car is basically the same weight, this new car is a little wider and harder to get over, but this car will still flip pretty easily, it doesn take much hitting the wall at even 160 never 185

Nascar messed up here. Someone had blown an engine the previous run. The crew didn't clean up all the oil. As soon as his tires were caught in the oil tracks when he tried to correct it the tires griped all of a sudden. It's like hitting the wall head on at 180 mph. He should of died. If the softer wall wasn't there he would of died.

actually beleive it or not the gforce ratings from this crash were not that impresive. Because of the angle the car hit and the rolling motion the energy was dissipated gradually.
