I was with you until you said "and underground". There are a lot of GREAT underground lyricists. There are even a few nice MCs in the mainstream.
Don't become such an elitist that you close your mind. That makes you no better than the people that think Soulja Boy is the most lyrical MC of all time and refuse to hear evidence to the contrary.

Not trying to start an agrument, but that is my opinion. I do like alot of Underground stuff, except for were I stay at now. Their underground is weak as HELL. And everybody sound like somebody else, both flow ad voice. I know we are all influnced by someone else, and to get over the lack of something new. Lemme give an example: if your from Bama, why are you rhyming with a HOUSTON accent?

Oooh...yeah...I feel you. That's why I try to network with cats that are both talented AND unique. I've been finding that Michigan (Detroit specifically) seems to have a lot to offer. But also a lot of overseas artists are nice. Honestly the hip hop scene in other countries is stronger than it is here WHERE IT STARTED!
