Just look at how he is controlling things. And fully trusting the orchestra.
And he is so loving the music.

Sorry to clutter up the comments and replys with my gibbersh, but on U Tube, take a look at Marcha Radetzky - Concierto ano nuevo 2008 (Georges Pretre). He is 180 degrees from some of the New Year's in Vienna guest conductors in style and deameanor. Where does one begin to dissect his style ?
Good and bad conducting show when you listen to a piece. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of material from Kleiber, but check a 1970 rehearsal here in YouTube and you will see the attention to detail he would put in a piece. This piece is extremely popular in Austria, very dynamic. Check the ovation at the end, that is a sign of good conducting.
The Radetzky is a piece with a marked rythm. I've checked Pretre, he clearly wanted to interact with the audience and I am not sure how detailed he is. However, do yourself a favor and play him and Kleiber at the same time (same piece) and tell me which piece makes you jump out of your seat. Good listening.
